Glen Goddard
Program Director
Glen Goddard is a 40-year professional spending his career in Outdoor Education and Camp Administration. Glen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga, CA and a Master’s degree in Outdoor Education and Recreation from the University of Oregon.
Glen started his career with an award-winning Outdoor School Program with the Multnomah Education Service District in Portland, Oregon. He has provided leadership for Boy Scout camping programs in the Sierra Nevada’s, Catalina Island, Big Bear Lake area and now the Outdoor School at Rancho Alegre, owned and operated by the Los Padres Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Glen has worked extensively and effectively with culturally and economically diverse students, older youth, educators, and staff teams.
Glen is honored to be with The Outdoor School (ODS) and started working as soon as the re-build began after the devasting Whitter Wildfire of 2017. He has provided advisement and support for the entire re-build process for the “Phoenix Committee”: The Los Padres Boy Scout Council’s Re-build Committee for Rancho Alegre, Board of Director’s for the Los Padres Boy Scout Council as well as Schipper Construction. He has spent countless hours with Boy Scout Volunteers, Boy Scout Groups, county and state code officers, engineers, and architects.
Glen is looking forward to continuing the Outdoor School Program, serving the 5th and 6th graders of the Central Coast!
