They will sleep in private rooms near the student dorms. These rooms have their own access and their own private bathroom.
We serve healthy meals here at Rancho Alegre. Meals are geared for the students while covering all the basic nutrition standards and needs. Our kitchen staff is very good at accommodating any dietary needs or restrictions. We are a NUT FREE campus.
We don’t provide a nurse. Teachers are responsible for distributing student meds and providing first aid care. Naturalists are CPR and First Aid trained and will provide first aid while out on trails. Our health lodge is kept fully stocked with general first aid equipment (band-aids, alcohol wipes, antibacterial ointment, gauze, etc.).
Students are not permitted to bring cell phones during their stay here at ODS. Teachers and chaperones may have their phones and there is some service here on the property.

The weather is temperate but can range during the time of year. The early fall and late spring can be warm during the day and mild during the night. During the winter months there is a possibility for rain. Always check the weather forecast before you arrive to make sure you pack properly.
