The Outdoor School at Rancho Alegre has been using the natural world as our classroom since 1957. We are located on 217 acres of wilderness here in the Santa Ynez Mountains overlooking Lake Cachuma. By hiking, exploring, and facing new challenges away from home, students find new found confidence and a new sense of independence.
